We started to consider new ways to use supercomputers. Traditionally, a user has an account of a supercomputer and uses it to develop and install software and operate compute jobs. Since this requires the user to have a high operation ability of the supercomputer, only knowledgeable users can use the supercomputer. One of the purposes of the Fugaku is to increase the number of supercomputer users. We have adopted cloud technology and are working on using it through Software as a Service (SaaS) and RESTful API. These are currently under research and development as Fugaku Cloud Platform. We report on that progress and future plan.
