Youth Workshop from February 18 to 20, 2020 in Kobe, Japan
JapaneseRIKEN R-CCS will organize a Youth Workshop for junior researchers and students in computational science and technology. Through presentations and discussions conducted in English, this workshop aims to create a network for collaboration among young researchers, and to foster their research communication skills in an international setting.

Date | Tue, Feb 18 - Thu, Feb 20, 2020 |
---|---|
City | Kobe, Japan |
Place | RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) in Kobe, Japan |
Language | English |
Purpose
The workshop aims to create a network for collaboration among young researchers, and improve their research communication skills.
The workshop is open to young researchers affiliated with corporations, universities and research institutes (including technical colleges and graduate schools) who are expected to become the next-generation of leaders in the fields of computational science and high-performance computing.

Young researchers from overseas will participate in this workshop. To encourage participants to take the initiative in interacting with each other, presentations and discussions will be held in English in small groups.

R-CCS staff will serve as mentors for each group and participate in the discussions. Before this program, you may also participate in The 2nd R-CCS International Symposium (February 17-18) to gather information on overseas research institutions and the like. Your accommodation cost during the symposium will also be covered if you make a poster presentation.
