RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) accepts interns for the purpose of fostering the young researchers who will be the future leaders of HPC technologies and computational science. Through practical training and experience gained by working in R-CCS research teams, the trainees deepen their understanding of computer science technology and gain the ability to conduct state-of-the-art computational science research and development.

Programs

  • R-CCS International HPC Computational Science Internship Program: Overseas university PhD-level students, with fundamental knowledge in the field of computational science and with a specific research focus are desirable.
  • R-CCS HPC Computational Science Internship Program: Graduate students in Japanese universities or technical college including international students

Training Period

  • R-CCS International HPC Computational Science Internship Program: Training for 1 to 3 months, usually between April and March
  • R-CCS HPC Computational Science Internship Program: Training for 2 weeks to 1 month, usually between July and March
    Note: Upon prior consultation with the host team/unit, the internship may be extended for another 2 months at most.
