R-CCS Software
JapaneseThis page highlights key software developed by RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS).
FrontFlow/red-HPC
FrontFlow/red-HPC is a general-purpose software package for thermal fluidsanalysis. This package began as the FrontFlow/red-HPC Ver.3.0 component of the RSS21 free software suite developed as part of the Revolutionary Simulation Software (RSS21) program operated by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) for the purpose of designing next-generation IT platforms. Later, the package was further developed and improved by researchers at Hokkaido University and Japan’s RIKEN Center for Computational Science involved in Strategic Programs for Innovative Research Field No. 4: Industrial Innovations and other programs. The software library was specifically developed to accommodate a broad range of usage environments—from standard desktop workstations to next-generation supercomputers—and is widely used by scientists and industrial R&D teams specializing in engineering and manufacturing.

GENESIS
GENESIS (GENeralized-Ensemble SImulation System) is molecular dynamics for bimolecular systems such as proteins, nucleic acid, lipids, glycans, and their complexes. GENESIS is open source software distributed under the GPLv2 license.

OACIS
Organizing assistant for comprehensive and interactive simulations (OACIS) is an open-source framework for managing your simulation jobs and the results. Using a web interface provided by OACIS, users can handle their simulation jobs in an interactive and intuitive manner. This framework is useful for running large numbers of simulation jobs with a wide variety of parameter sets and recording the results in an organized way. OACIS is free for use under a permissive open-source license.

NTChem
NTChem is a high-performance software package for the molecular electronic structure calculation for general purpose on the K computer. It is a comprehensive new software of ab initio quantum chemistry made in R-CCS from scratch. NTChem contains not only standard quantum chemistry approaches but our own original approaches. NTChem is expected to be a useful tool in various computational studies for large and complicated molecular systems.

SCALE
SCALE (Scalable Computing for Advanced Library and Environment) is a basic library for weather and climate model developed principally by scientists at R-CCS. The SCALE library was developed as a scalable package that could be used on next-generation supercomputers as well as normal desktops. It was developed jointly by scientists specializing in weather and climate science and by researchers in computational and computer science.
