Since FY 2017, the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) has hosted the international internship program as a development program for young researchers interested in HPC (High Performance Computing) technology and computational science. This program aims to orient these young researchers to R&D in leading-edge computational science by providing them with the opportunity to work in R-CCS research teams, where they will gain a better understanding of computational science technology.

Though we usually start accepting applications for the international internship program around November every year, we must unfortunately suspend the acceptance of applications and interns this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We do, however, hope to move forward with the acceptance of applications and interns next year. Updated information about the implementation period and call for applications for the international intership program is scheduled to be posted in or after fall 2021.
