Talk Titles and Abstracts
1st Speaker: Mohamed Wahib
Title:
AI for Science Activities
Abstract:
Then this talk we highlight ongoing efforts in applying AI in different fields: life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, and computer science. We explain how different approaches for machine learning can be employed, and adapted, based on the nature of the problems. We also highlight general challenges in applying AI methods to different science domains.
2nd Speaker: Takemasa Miyoshi
Title:
Using Data Assimilation to Improve Data-Driven Surrogate Models
Abstract:
TBA
3rd Speaker: Florence Tama
Title:
Integrative modeling approaches to characterize dynamics of biomolecules
Abstract:
Combining computational molecular mechanics simulations with experimental data has proven useful for elucidating the structure and dynamics of biomolecules. This integrative modeling strategy merges simulations with real-world observations. I will describe recent results for application to atomic force microscopy data.
