1st Speaker: Shinichi Miura
Title:
Energy Efficient Operation for Supercomputer Fugaku and Resource Enhancement Plans of R-CCS
Abstract:
In this presentation, I will report on the energy-efficient operation of the supercomputer Fugaku.
I also introduce the computing resources enhancement planned by R-CCS and report on the status of the feasibility study for operation towards Fugaku next.
2nd Speaker: Yasushi Okuno

Acceleration of protein 3D structure prediction AI (AF2) powered by “Fugaku” for realization of genome-scale molecular simulation
3rd Speaker: Mitsuhisa Sato
Title:
NEDO JHPC quantum project
Abstract:
As the number of qubits in advanced quantum computers is getting larger over 100 qubits, demands for the integration of quantum computers and HPC are gradually growing. Recently, we have started a new project funded by NEDO titled "Research and Development of quantum-supercomputers hybrid platform for exploration of ncharted computable capabilities" named "JHPC quantum," In this project, we are going to design and build a quantum-supercomputer hybrid computing platform which integrates different kinds of quantum computers, IBM and Quantinuum, with supercomputers including Fugaku. In this talk, the overview and plan of JHPC quantum project will be presented. I will mention on summary of Programming Environment Research team closed at the end of March.
4th Speaker: Takahito Nakajima
Title:
Recent Research Progress in Computational Molecular Science Research Team
Abstract:
I will introduce some of our recent activities on materials simulation and informatics achieved in this FY. In particular, I will focus on the developments of quantum chemistry computational approaches and some applications of molecular design and materials development that we have performed this FY.
