Abstract

Due to the forthcoming end of Moore's law, we are facing the limits of performance improvement in many-core CPU architectures. Their bottlenecks exist in data-movement and inefficient use of hardware resources for computing. As a solution to these problems, the concept of reconfigurable computing and memory-centric computing is promising. In this talk, As well as the concept, our challenges in exploring reconfigurable architectures for memory-centric computing are introduced including our recent research on coarse-grain reconfigurable arrays (CGRAs) .
