Report on Open OnDemand workshop
JapaneseOn October 11, 2023, at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS), PCCC Open OnDemand Workshop (PC Cluster Consortium Website) (Japanese)
was held. Open OnDemand (Open OnDemand Website) is a web portal that allows you to easily use parallel computer systems such as supercomputer Fugaku from a web browser, and has been attracting a lot of attention in recent years. The workshop was held in a hybrid on-site and online format. A large number of people participated, including 19 on-site participants and 116 online participants (135 people in total).
The session included a presentation on the operation of Open OnDemand on the world's top-class supercomputer Fugaku operated by R-CCS. There were also presentations on the various ways Open OnDemand can be used by other companies and research institutions. Through these presentations, we were able to introduce the possibilities of Open OnDemand and its practicality to many people. Additionally, during the question and answer period, many interesting questions were asked and a lively discussion with the lecturers took place.
R-CCS will continue to provide information on the latest research and technology through various workshops and seminars. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this workshop and everyone who was involved.
