Japanese Research Group Performs Largest Ever Meteorological Calculation on Supercomputer Fugaku - Collaboration of supercomputer, simulation, and data science opens up Future Weather Forecasts
A group of scientists from the National Institute for Environmental Studies, RIKEN, Fujitsu Limited, Metro, Inc., and the University of Tokyo has implemented an unprecedented, large-scale coupled calculation of global weather simulation and data assimilation, for a 3.5 km horizontal mesh with 1024 ensembles with the supercomputer “Fugaku.” For details, please see the link below:
