Report on the RIKEN International HPC Spring School 2023 - Toward Society 5.0

From Monday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 15, 2023, RIKEN International HPC Spring School 2023 was held online. The spring school was held the first time as a program to interest students and young researchers in entering the field of computing and related technology. This year’s spring school had a total of 31 participants, including students (graduate students), researchers, and individuals in the private sector.

Participants learned about parallel programming in both theory and practice and the skills they need to master them through lectures by Senior Scientist, Atsushi Suzuki(RIKEN), and reseacher Takeshi Terao (RIKEN). Participants also had the opportunity to experience hands-on training sessions with the supercomputer Oakbridge-CX( the University of Tokyo)
