Title:
Building Digital Twins of the Universe with the DiRAC HPC facility

Abstract:
The STFC DiRAC HPC facility supports the large-scale computing needs of the UK's theory communities in the areas of particle physics, astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear physics and planetary science. In this talk, I will introduce the DiRAC Facility and describe the co-design methodology that enables us to develop and deploy cost-effective and productive HPC services. I will also discuss the increasing role of AI in simulation workflows, in particular the development of surrogate models to enhance multi-scale, multi-physics simulations.
