Abstract

he digital twin is a promising and significant concept for realizing Society5.0. Through digital twin technologies, things and environments like vehicles, houses, buildings, and even cities can be digitalized and used for efficient simulating, testing, and predicting real-world events. However, since the applications and services are expected to be human-centered in Society 5.0, how humans are involved in the virtual world with their contexts and knowledge is a primary research challenge for making human-centric applications into reality. This presentation introduces our approaches to digitalizing humans and their contexts and knowledge. In particular, through the introduction of several ongoing projects, the concept of privacy preservation for secure human-centric digital twins in personal space and building-scale society5.0-oriented innovative applications is addressed and discussed. Some related sensing and modeling techniques will also be introduced.
