Abstract

We are in the era where we need to seriously consider technologies for future computing.
For them, in the processor research team, we have been conducting reconfigurable computing such FPGA-based computing systems and coarse-grained reconfigurable arrays (CGRAs). We are also launching a new research project on fault-tolerant quantum computers (FTQCs) especially regarding hardware dedicated to quantum error correction, as well as the feasibility study for future supercomputers (Fugaku Next). In this talk, I introduce our research activities on them and discuss what are essentially necessary for future computing.
