Abstract

RIKEN has been selected as one of the representative institutions for the Feasibility Study on next-generation supercomputing infrastructures by MEXT to investigate next-generation high-performance systems. The main purpose of this project is to propose technological options for the next-generation computing infrastructure in the post-"Fugaku" era, taking into account the needs of science, industry, and society, as well as to conduct researches on elementary technologies toward next-generation systems that can serve as a "research DX" platform with advanced digital twins for solving issues on the realization of broad SDGs and Society 5.0. The feasibility study project is very important for R-CCS and the participation of all the R-CCS members is indispensable. In this talk, we will share the overview and the current research plan of the project.
