Abstract
Simulations of qubits systems help development of quantum computers. Among various methods cultivated for the simulations, exact method is the most fundamental and reliable way, which prepares a state vector and simulates its quantum evolution. Memory requirement for a state vector is exponential in number of qubits in a system. For n qubits system, 2^n complex coefficients are to be stored. For example, 16 Tera byte is necessary for 40 qubits in double precision. In this talk, current status of this exact simulation method for qubit system is to be given, including results from the K and Fugaku computers.
