Abstract

The supercomputer Fugaku has made its debut in this year and is set to begin operations next year. It is already time to think about the development of our next generation supercomputer system. The sustainable evolution of high-performance computers and further integration of AI and BigData technologies will enable a number of new innovations specially in the field of Society 5.0. However, there are many technical challenges towards development of next generation systems as we are now facing the end of Moore's law. Since community wide efforts are indispensable to study and discuss technical issues and necessary R&D elements, we launched a community activity for Next-Generation Advanced Computing Infrastructure (NGACI) last year to discuss the roadmap of future advanced computing platforms. This talk introduces its activity and the white paper about the next-generation computing systems written by the NGACI community.
