The RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) operates and utilizes the K computer efficiently and effectively to serve as an international research center for collaborations in computational science, computer science and the integration of both. R-CCS and Fujitsu are now developing the successor of the K computer, called the Post-K computer, based on an ARM architecture. The Post-K will be capable of 100 times higher performance than the K computer for some applications. The early access program will begin in 2020.
