This chart shows the performance of supercomputers in RIKEN in the past and present. The first machine, the OKITAC 5090H, was installed in the Head Office for Information Systems and Cybersecurity (ISC) in the mid-1960s and had the performance of less than 1 MIPS. Since then, the performance of RIKEN supercomputers evolved exponentially. The latest addition, the supercomputer Fugaku at R-CCS, scored the performance of 442 PFLOPS.
