Casimier effect of the axion QED
Inspired by a work by Jiang and Wilczek which addressed the no-go theorem of “The Casimir force between two bodies with reflection symmetry is always attractive” and its possible violation, we proposed another scenario of how to realize the repulsive Casimir force without breaking reflection symmetry. I will explain the physics background and our ideas in this talk. I will also explicate technical subtleties in the field-theoretical calculations of the Casimir force, and will introduce some recent developments about how to diagnose matter properties with the Casimir effect.
