RIKEN R-CCS has selected Qedmaʼs quantum error mitigation software (QESEM)

We are proud to announce that Qedmaʼs quantum error mitigation software (QESEM) has been operational in RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS). Deployed on-premises, QESEM is integrated with both an IBM Quantum System Two, ibm_kobe, and the supercomputer Fugaku.

Together, we are pushing the limits of whatʼs possible on todayʼs quantum hardware by accurately executing some of the most challenging quantum circuits accessible with current-day devices, such as “ibm_kobe”, using Qedma's error mitigation software QESEM. We benchmark these results by comparing them with state-of-the-art classical simulations on one of the worldʼs largest supercomputers at R-CCS. These simulations operate at an extraordinary scale, struggling to converge as circuit complexity increases, despite leveraging massive classical computing resources to compete with the performance of a single quantum processor.
