Abstract

We have been working on the prediction of blue-green algae in Lake Biwa, Japan, and in Lake Kinneret, Israel under the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) Strategic International Collaboration Research Program (SICORP) between Japan and Israel. We have developed a simulation framework composed of a hydrological model, a regional atmospheric model, and a particle tracking system. In this talk, we will show simulation results of Lake Biwa including major gyres and a response to Typhoon Jebi (2018). We will also show simulation results of particle tracking in Lake Kinneret.
