Abstract
Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems appear in numerous engineering fields. Thus we need to analyze both structural and fluid phenomena to guarantee structure safety. In the literature, many researchers have been investigating FSI problems with experimental and numerical approaches. In recent years, numerical analysis has been important due to the performance improvement of supercomputers. A full Eulerian FSI formulation is one of the effective approaches to simulate FSI problems. However, the full Eulerian FSI formulation cannot avoid the numerical dissipation of material interfaces and internal variables of solid due to solving their advection equations. Thus high-resolution meshes are needed to obtain high accurate numerical results. In this presentation, I will present a novel method to solve the problem mentioned above and demonstrate several numerical examples.
